What is SAT

To gain admission on a under graduate program in the USA or Canada SAT is required.

Why is it needed

The SAT doesn’t test logic or abstract reasoning. It tests the skills you’re learning in school: reading, writing and math. Your knowledge and skills in these subjects are important for success in college and throughout your life.

  • The critical reading section includes reading passages and sentence completions.
  • The writing section includes a short essay and multiple-choice questions on identifying errors and improving grammar and usage.
  • The mathematics section includes questions on arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.

How often to take the SAT

Most students take the SAT once or twice. We don’t recommend taking it more than twice because there’s no evidence that taking the SAT multiple times significantly changes your score.

How do I send my scores to an institution?

The score is sent to four universities free of cost, which can be selected at any time of registering for the exam. College Board charges additional for the score to be sent to university later.

  • A high score will increase the chances of admission in top institutes
  • Visa Officers also give weight age to high SAT scores while considering Visa applications
  • Higher SAT scores increase the potential of getting Scholarships / Financial Aid
