Cost of Studying & Living in New Zealand
International students in New Zealand pay the tuition fees for foreign students and these can vary from University to Regions of study. Higher education institutions can offer bursaries or scholarships to students (but these are limited).
Generally a bachelor degree can cost between NZ$ 12,000 and NZ$ 25,000 per year. While Masters courses can cost between NZ$ 8,000 and NZ$ 40,000. As a general rule courses in arts, humanities, social sciences, management or engineering are cheaper as compared to those in science and technology.
International students also pay Overseas Student Health Cover charges and various additional fees, typical cost of living can vary between NZ$ 5,500 and NZ$ 15,000 per year (depending on your lifestyle and preferred accommodation options).
